Black and White
I walk alone on a starless night, Dark clouds cover everything, even the moonlight. I walk around in circles and circles, I am
a black shadow trying to get home I see
a shine in the distance Getting closer,
growing, taking shape Blinding me from the darkness And when I see again, a white figure is before me They freeze at each other The white light and the black shadow They just stare at each other wandering How
dark and how bright the other was. I move with
the light, as any shadow does Curious
as to where it wants to go Then you stop and look at me With your radiance ever so glowing You
walk to me and hold my hand Your
touch eases my pains Your voice soothes
my soul And your eyes pierce my shadow We stare for awhile, but then it came Rain came down and was dimming your light The darkness
was covering your glow You was becoming a shadow like me You
lifted your arm with your hand in mine And the clouds were
split in half The sun came out in full bloom Revealing a bright and happy new world We couldn’t
let go of each other The shadow
and the light had become one So we lived in happiness
in our little heaven I am your black, and you
are my white
